I managed to program my report manager for this version this is the only main thing. I fixed a few bugs that were left from V 0.1. All there is left to do is to come up with a good layout for when the report manager prints.
I decided to do a total rewrite yesterday of space notepad and set my self deadlines for when each version had to be done. This rewrite was a good and a bad idea. It was a good idea as all the previous code was a mess. However it was a bad idea because of the deadlines that i had set my self were a bit too ambitious. For example i wanted version 0.1 out yesterday. That came out fine sorted all errors out earlier. Version 0.2 on the other hand hasn’t been programmed meaning that it is diffcult to get version 0.3 out by tomorrow night. The reason it hasn’t been programmed is because i spent the whole day with my mates haveing a laugh. So im going have to work most of the night to get back up to date. This means that i will spend most of tomorrow sleeping. The next BIG advancement for space notepad is getting my Report Mangager thing to work and print correctly. There is a class in Java 1.6 that allows you to use the system tray but Tiger only has java 1.5 this gets annoying(Thank god Leopard comes out tomorrow). So it is back to work for me.
Im still here. I have been so busy doing school work and coding that i have just not had the time to update the blog. I have been doing a lot of stuff on the computers at school(mostly small hacks and using shortcuts) and found myself sitting in front of the guy with the big nose Mr T. Gulliver(Really nice guy outside of school). My mate got suspened for what he did(don’t want to talk about it as a lot of people visit my site in school and i could find my self looking for a new school). I wish i could just forget the last two months as they have been hell. Trouble with computers, code, girls, basically life. I have my birthday to look forward to and then there is xmas. Im really enjoying the choices i choose to do for my GCSEs. They were IT, Electronic Products, Geography and Business Studies. IT is easy i sit and do nothing in my lessons. Electronic Products this is also easy as i learned most of the syllabus last year, I need a geeky yet cool project to do for my coursework(ideas welcome). Geography and business studies are easy as-well. I haven’t had time to much astronomy although there have been some really nice nights. I am though writing some observation logging software called Space Notepad. That is coming along quite nicely. I still play rugby for KCRFC and now the school. I scored my first try on thursday(go me). I have been thinking of a total rewrite of my site. All ideas welcome. New colour scheme new links and some good tutorials. Keep checking back to see what i have done. So that has basically been my life for i don’t know how long. I will try to blog more often in the future.
Finally apple has released Safari for windows users. It’s only the beta but it allows windows to experience a piece of apple. Tests conducted by apple shows that it is 2 times faster to load than IE 7 and 1.7 times faster than Firefox 2. And it executes JavaScript up to 2.8 times faster than Internet Explorer 7 and up to 1.9 times faster than Firefox 2. Get safari here: http://www.apple.com/uk/safari/. All the built-in features that Safari 2 has but more. Download it to day!
I’m going to start blogging about the astronomy that i do with the schools telescope and my brothers canon 20D. I also will put up some of my favorite images of the night. The equipment that i will be using is a Orion SX150, Canon 20D with a 1.4x tele-converter and a 70-200mm(f5.6) lens. Most of the astronomy will be done in my back garden(facing south).

This also works with Mandiva Linux 2006
